This is my Language Arts reflection. I am doing this about the literature circles and it shows my growth that I have developed along the way. I started out in the beginning of the year not really good at it and I was frustrated. The second book we did on literature circles was Catherine Called Birdy and I did way better than before. I grew in it because I had finished all of my work for it and the entire book and it made me feel great.          

Your probably wondering why these artifacts show growth well because they all have something to do with how I have improved in literature circles. For the artifacts they show it because I went into a little detail not a lot and I have improved in my grade too. The book is also an artifact it may not show much but it does tell you the story of Catherine Called Birdy.

My first artifact is worksheets I did for literature circles these were estimated or they could have been connections to our real world. My next artifact is the book itself and Catherine Called Birdy was based off of the life of a girl from the middle ages. Last but not least is my collaboration log I was proud to see that I had gotten all twos and that has never happened before. These all showed growth because when I did the first literature circles I was terrible at it I did not even do the reading and did not get much done but this shows that this time I did all of the work and I  got better grades.

My second artifact is my collaboration log. it shows growth because I had never ever gotten all twos on my collaboration log before. It also shows it because it shows that I did my work unlike last time. My third artifact would be my mini project. The mini project was quite simple I had to write a script about a scene from my book sadly we did not present the skit. The project shows growth because I did the work and it shows that I read the book and the collaboration log also shows that I had done everything. The reason my project shows growth is because this book I tried working on the project and succeeded unlike the last book I barely didn’t try.

The reason that participation is my topic for literature circles is because sometimes I don’t finish my book in time and or I did not write on the worksheets or I had forgotten before. For the second book I had done all the work and finished the book that helped me improve in literature circles and setting aside other things to do work and read.
