One of the biggest things I have ever done in STEM foundations in 7th grade is the story book project. The story book project was a huge project that we did in three different classes but we are only going to focus on STEM foundations. The purpose was to create a book for younger kids and we were teaching them effective communication. We had also learned different compositions along the way. We learned different compositions and different art techniques in the classroom. The thing that I grew in most I would say it would have to be understanding of different compositions. You’re probably wondering what composition means it means different perspective of art work of a drawing.

The first thing I did in the project was learning different Medias and compositions. The second thing we did was the prototype (the prototype is a version of the book that we want it to look like). It took a while to make but we did it and got it approved. The third step was our final thing we had to do. we had to finish our pictures up and scan them in.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                          

This is a picture of the art I had done with Jaclyn [my partner]. We had decided to do our story about a fox who is too shy to talk to another fox and soon improves his effective communication skills. It actually took us a while to do these pictures. We used craftsmanship and we finished at the last 10 minutes. I felt good and successful.  

Its composition is a close up on the main character (Quin’s) face and he is crying. The reason that it is close up on his face is because it shows his reaction. Another page that I thought used a wide angle composition would have to be the page where Luna and Quin were talking and she was teaching him about effective communication. The reason that it is wide angle is because it has to show both of their faces in order to show what’s happening.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                       Learning about different compositions is good because if you ever become an artist one day this would be good to know. It’s always good to know how to create art very well because you want your audience to know what you’re showing to them. Another reason is you need to have nice lines and incorporate detail sometimes depending on the composition.
